Saudi Camel Owners Dominate SCRF Cup Opener
Saudi camel owners swept all four cups on the opening day of the 4th Saudi Camel Racing Federation (SCRF) Cup.
SCRF Vice President Mohammed Albalawi awarded the winners at the Najran camel racing track: Saad Al-Marri, who came first with 4:25:245, Thamer Al-Saadoun second with 4:31:018, and Mohammed Al-Karbi, third, with 4:30:440.
The race featured 36 rounds in which 1,194 camels participated. Tomorrow's competition consists of 30 rounds of 4 km each.
SCRF has allocated over SAR10 million in prize money for the winners of the various racing categories as part of its endeavor to preserve this rich cultural heritage and raise camel racing to global standards, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, and to ensure the proper governance, management, and provision of services for the racing tracks and support owners.
